...was the first concert of the Bogenhofen school orchestra last night. Thanks to the initiative von Luise Schneeweiß, violinist and orchestra director since September 2007, the ten member ensemble for the first time did not just accompany the choir or played in church in Sabbath morning but performed music from the baroque and classical periods one entire evening on its own. A cordial Hello from the Skiing- and Snowboarding Week at Steinach am Brenner in Tyrolia, Austria. 72 Students from the Academy and Language School had a wonderful week with lots of snow and sunshine (of course). [more]

...our gymnasium once a year radiates a very special atmosphere with all the lovely decorations for our Christmas Banquet, but even more so with all the expectant faces of those who found their way to celebrate with us.

...there are the photographers who keep their good record of the big event, and so we need a second and even a third weblog to transmit a little bit of the special mood of the evening.

Saturday, 7 p.m., Location: Girls dorm. You can hear some girls screaming – “Die Jungs kommen! Schnell - Türen zu!” (“The boys are coming! Close the doors!”) But why are they doing this? Is there something special going on this evening? – Yes, the boys are invited to visit the girls’ rooms and also to evaluate them (the rooms :) ) [more]

"Lift up your heads, o you gates..." was the theme of this year's christmas concert, and many of our neighbors and friends from far and wide came to enjoy an evening of the season's hymns and melodies presented by Bogenhofen's choir, orchestra and vocal and instrumental soloists. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Having Americans on campus is a great privilege - this year they introduced American Flag Football to Bogenhofen. We really had blast!

A few years ago one of our language school students introduced the so-called Crazy Hair Day to Bogenhofen. [more]
