Mission Statement

Since 1951 the language school at Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen is committed to providing our students with an environment that facilitates the learning of the German language and culture. The "German as a foreign language" courses are designed to prepare the student with the skills necessary to communicate in this important language spoken by more than 200 million Europeans. Courses in German culture and literature courses equip the student with the knowledge necessary to interact with people of German background and with the ability to read and interpret German texts and literature. As a Seventh-day Adventist center of higher learning, Bogenhofen is committed to educating students in a friendly, Christian atmosphere.

Educational Goals

  • To help the student appreciate German culture and literature by providing cultural immersion tours and a general survey of German literature.
  • To facilitate the implementation of these goals by providing for the student an educational environment conducive to learning and cultural immersion.
