Courses in Theology

Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen offers theology courses leading to a Bachelor of Theology degree as well as German language studies. It is possible to learn German and at the same time attend theology courses which might also be of interest to future doctoral candidates.

Spending a year in a different culture is most often an enriching and life changing experience. Students are also likely to grow spiritually facing the positive challenges and responding positively to the inspiration of the new environment. Last, but not least: the younger you are when you learn a language the better it is.

If you do not have any prior knowledge of German, you will need to study mainly German during the first and second trimester. By the beginning of the third trimester you will surely be able to attend the classes you are most interested in from the curriculum of the theology department. Some of the reading material is available in English. It is also acceptable to write papers in English.
