Regular Program
The year-long program consists of two different levels of language learning: beginning and advanced. At the beginning of the first trimester students are given a German Language Proficiency Examination in order to assess their language competency. Based on the test results, students register for the beginning or intermediate German language courses.
These courses train your skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They will also help you to develop and widen your vocabulary as well as introduce you to the principles of grammar and phonetics. Besides the courses in literature, history and religion, students also have the opportunity to attend business German courses or a theology class in order to practice and improve their language skills in a field of their interest.
Completion of the beginning level courses prepares the students to pass the Österreichische Sprachdiplom Deutsch - Zertifikat Deutsch (B1). Completion of the intermediate/advanced course prepares the students to pass the Österreichische Sprachdiplom Deutsch– Mittelstufe Deutsch (B2) or the Oberstufe Deutsch (C1).
