Business German and Internship

You are an undergraduate business or international communication student at a time when globalization demands detailed and sound knowledge of international companies. We now include a business German class in our program.

German is an important language in the business world. Learning the German language prepares you to be more efficient in your future work and helps you increase your chances for a lucrative future position. It is an investment well worth thinking about.

You have the option of supplementing your curriculum with a basic or intermediate German business course, which will prepare you for the enriching and educational experience of a four to eight-week internship in a major or well-known European company. The Basic German Business course focuses on developing skills in small talk, managing appointments, and handling the telephone. The intermediate course incorporates German knowledge in practical fields such as accounting, finances, human resources, and production technologies.

Studying a foreign language is best done in the country where the language is spoken and Business German is best practiced in an actual business setting.

You will be able to put your newly acquired knowledge into immediate practice during a four- to eight-week internship, following the full-year program, in a major German-speaking company in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. This internship will be organized for you by Bogenhofen.

European companies generally do not offer salaries, nor provide room and board for internships. This means that you will need to take additional expenses into consideration. For your own interest, we will keep costs for traveling and living expenses as low as possible.

For ACA-Students: This is a fully accredited internship with a total of up to 3 credits depending on the length of your internship.
