Prerequisites

  • Completion of 10 years of school or in college
  • 18 years old
  • Previous German study is not required

Registration Forms

Student registration (other than students from North America and Canada) takes place once you are with us.

Student registration from those attending Adventist institutions in North America takes place at your home campus. Information can also be found through ACA (Adventist Colleges Abroad).

The following registration forms are necessary for registering in the German course and a portion of them can be downloaded as a PDF file:

  • German course application with signature and picture
  • Two recommendations from two different people
  • Personal description form for those staying in residence hall
  • Resume
  • Copy of credentials: diploma, certificate of completion of professional training, certificate from school most recently attended
  • Explanation about the observance of school and residence hall guidelines, summarized in the Student Handbook
  • Medical report for eligibilty to be accepted into residence hall (only for those staying in residence hall)
  • Proof of valid health insurance suitable for Austria (to be filed for all registered students / for Germans: Document "E109" for open-ended period)
  • Proof of valid liability insurance
  • Finance documents
  • Declaration of intent: why would you like to study at Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen? Why would you like to study at a school outside your home territory?

The registration fee is to be paid upon registering. The application for admissions is only valid when registration fee has been paid (our banking accounts).

The registration forms can be:

  • downloaded, printed, filled out, and the originals sent by mail to Bogenhofen (see address below)
  • requested by leaving a message sent through the contact page

Important Information:

  • The application for admissions is only valid when registration fee has been paid.
  • The application is only valid if the original documents are received and confirmed by us. Registration via internet only serves as a way to send basic information to you.
  • Non EEC inhabitants except for Switzerland and Liechtenstein need a valid student visa for their studies. The administration will help on request.

Visa Requests

All students who plan on staying longer than three months need a valid student visa. As a matter of principle, applications on the granting of your stay are issued before arrival overseas by the Austrian consulate agency. The student receives the visa in their home country before arriving in Austria.

Applying for a visa within Austria is possible for American and Japanese citizens. ACA students receive assistance for their visa through ACA (Adventist Colleges Abroad).

  • Visa application
  • Original birth certificate with notarized German translation
  • Certificate issued by police stating that holder has no criminal record with notarized German translation
  • Confirmation of studies in Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen (current confirmation about the existence of the place of study)
  • A complete risk-covering health insurance with policy valid for Austria
  • Verification of sufficient funds
  • Verification of lodging (confirmation of dorm placement)
  • Copy of passport
  • One photo
  • Certificate of health with a stay of over six months. Statutory order of the government for social security and generations in question the certificate of health regarding foreign rights. Gesundheitszeugnis bei einem Aufenthalt über 6 Monaten gem. Verordnung des Bundesministers für soziale Sicherheit und Generationen betreffend das fremdenrechtliche Gesundheitszeugnis, gem. BGBl.   • The filled out application with the necessary paperwork can be received from the Austrian Embassy in your home country.
